Environmental protection is one of EXPRESSO’s corporate goals and an integral part of our corporate strategy. We use our resources sparingly. This applies to production processes and products. The aim of our environmental management is to reconcile environmental protection and economic efficiency.
Production

- Adjust hall lighting to daylight conditions
- Cleaning schedule of the factory floor (avoidance of dust emission)

EXPRESSO Environmental Team
Environmental protection is one of EXPRESSO’s corporate goals and an integral part of our corporate strategy. The sparing use of resources applies to both products and production processes. The goal of EXPRESSO’s certified environmental management is to reconcile environmental protection and economic efficiency. In light of this, the environmental team was founded in 2018. In monthly meetings, the team members plan company-relevant environmental goals and take charge of their implementation.
“From old to new” – recycling of trade fair banners.
With us, discarded trade fair advertising banners find a new function. The idea: carrier bags in EXPRESSO look for easy transport of things in everyday life. With the tailor shop of the Baunataler Diakonie Kassel, where people with handicaps work, a strong local partner was found for the project implementation.
The EXPRESSO bags are now issued as promotional items on special occasions.
Charging stations
In front of the entrance to the EXPRESSO headquarters in Kassel, there is a charging station for electric vehicles that can be used by employees. Further charging stations are to be added in the coming years.
Since more and more employees are also using e-bikes, a charging station for e-bikes is already being planned.
We create a home for bees
In 2020, we started to house two bee colonies in cooperation with an external beekeeper. To make it as nice as possible for them, we have sown a bee-friendly flowering strip on an unused area next to the production hall.
Flowering strip
In connection with the establishment of two bee colonies, our environmental team planted a flowering strip on an unused area. This provides valuable food not only for bees but also for other insects. After only a short time, the strip became a center of attraction for bees, butterflies, etc. EXPRESSO is thus making an important contribution to preserving biodiversity directly on site.
Certified environmental management
In order to ensure that our efforts for sustainable environmental protection are effective, we have obtained ISO certification in accordance with the applicable environmental management standards. In this way, we contribute to a responsible approach to our natural environment.
